just spent like 30 minutes trying to figure some of these out instead of studying for a bio test i have tomorrow. woops, lol.
for the jasper thing, the dictionary says it’s “a compact, opaque, cryptocrystalline variety of quartz, usually colored red: often used in decorative carvings.” not sure that it makes sense but it’s what i hear.

and i really clearly hear “i will” especially the last one, put the volume up for it and you’ll hear it (well i hope, lol)

Also, “Etheran?” What is it, and how do you consume it? Is it related to ether? Wouldn’t be the first time Davey’s approached that one. Can’t argue though cause that’s what I’ve been hearing too. New word for the Havok dictionary I guess.

If anyone here has ever paid attention to Blaqk Audio lyrics from their previous album, then they would know that the lyrics are laid out like a story. Just because he breaks a sentence in a song doesn’t mean that it has to be broken when interpreted. I did some revising from my last post and I think I may have 99.9% CORRECT lyrics..

And when you listen to the song..
1. Go somewhere quiet.. and
2. Use headphones.. It helps..

Remember, read it like a story FIRST (you will find these lyrics to be AMAZINGLY BREATHTAKING).. Then follow along to the song.. It will make more sense..

I regret saying 99.9% without stating that “..faster fix..” COULD ALSO BE “..vast abyss..” and that “..is impossible,.” could also be “..isn’t possible,..”

It IS quite difficult to interpret when both ideas are fixed to mind..

I really wish they would do us all a favor and post the lyrics already. It is driving me crazy. I keep hearing something different EVERY TIME!!!.. .. I understand what you are saying.. and it might be “..etheran..” I didn’t write the lyrics, so I don’t know for sure. But I do believe he says “And ether, it was consumed. You see?” If you run it through and through that same part it always sounds like “..ether, it..” to me.. The definition of Ether is “the upper regions of space; the clear sky; the heavens.” (http://www.dictionary.com/).. To me it he is telling us what happened and asking if we can see it. “The love had a chance, but it escaped to become a star. And ether, it was consumed. You see?”

That is how I see the “story”.. And why would he make up the word “Etheran” and have people guessing what he is talking about. PLUS, he has used the word ETHER before.. It was a song title for AFI.. From my personal experience, if a word has an extraordinary meaning, you never forget it. And you use it occasionally in your work.. I believe Davey and/or Jade do the same when writing lyrics..

Mind you, this is all my own opinion.. But I’m standing by “..ether, it was..” strong.. Only the actual lyrics could change my mind.. And apparently they haven’t released them yet?

Ether. I suggested it to begin with, but then I said Etheran. (because it does sound like it, and Davey does get creative with words)
why did he have to make up words for other songs? seriously, he’s a song writer, and you dont think I didn’t obviously notice the song ETHER? duh, thats why I thought about it, because he had used it before, and I already knew the definition, “of the stars and in space” and I looked it up, and it isn’t a word, but neither is a list of other AFI and Blaqk Audio words. (take BLAQK for instance. lol)
I knew it was Ether or Etheran something because it fit the story so well.

all I said was either one. didn’t say I was right. my opinion, of course =) and we all wont know until the lyrics are posted, and when they are, everyone well be happy.

AFI and Blaqk Audio both have deep meanings to me. all of their songs. I dont think you’re the only fan that knows that though. trust me, they’re songs have really been a part of me for years. not exaggerating on that. they’ve always been my favorite band, and I instantly connected with the songs. they do tell stories and have meanings. I never denied that, because I would never, and its so obvious. I understand it being a story. although I really dont think Ether and Etheran are all that different. seriously. if its either than we were both right, and I honestly dont care about being right because these are THEIR lyrics, and who says we have the right to judge them?
either way, what they turn out to be will be amazing and probably much better than our suggestions.

shows up as misspelled or unknown. although in my opinion it doesnt seem that much different than Ether or Etheran, we were just spelling it wrong if that IS it.

as for the meaning… in traditional medicine, you have 5 elements that make up everything.
1. Earth/Solid and
2. Water/Liquid make up the human body.
3. (AFI)Fire is the metabolism(called ignis or agni), the transformative energy.
4. Wind/air is the breath(called prana or pneuma) which causes circulation
5. Ether is like sound or light. I suppose radiation might fit in this category as well.

if you put the 5 elements together, you get a star…

tbh, blaqk audio lyrics aren’t deep and full of symbolic meaning like you find with AFI.
They are really just about sex, plain and simple.

I personally think this song also goes along with the hooker theme from Ill Lit Ships. Taking the chorus, “Love isn’t possible, so face down” – it’s basically saying since love is not possible, we have sex (face down) with hookers to get our satisfaction. The child was only loved by his parents, but now he is grown up and can’t find it in the real world by anyone else (The love that the child had seen ran away to become a star). Faster fix = sex
