- “Bon Voyeurs”
“Bon Voyeurs” was released on Sirius XM station, BPM, during the summer of ’10. The song was much faster paced than “Ill Lit Ships”, but also sounded very similar to CexCells production. It has been the most played song by radio stations of the new songs released so far, and also played at every new live show, causing some to speculate it could become a single.

October 2010
- “Mouth to Mouth”
Released in early October was “Mouth to Mouth”, released during an interview with Davey on Live 105, where he announced their Spookfest appearance later that month. The song was only played once ever on the radio, leaving us with bad quality rips until now. It has since then been played multiple times live. The song is probably the fastest paced song released thus far, and is a fan favorite.
- “This Is”
“This Is” is the introduction song off of Bright Black Heaven, and one of three new songs that were first played and premiered live at Spookfest 2010. It is the first song released by the band to feature their own name, which is chanted throughout the beginning of the piece. It has only been played live, no studio version has been released.
- “Fade to White”
The second new song premiered at Spookfest was “Fade to White”. It is regarded by fans to be one of their least favorite released, but we still have yet to get a decent rip of the song. It has only been played live, no studio version has been released.
- “Let’s Be Honest”
The final new song premiered at Spookfest 2010 was “Let’s Be Honest”. The song was only played once live, which was at Spookfest. And ironically, not a single recording of the song surfaced until July 2011. The song is faster paced and features production that differs a lot from CexCells. It has only been played live, no studio version has been released.
November 2010
- “Down Here”
The first new song to premiere on Blaqk Audio’s Soundcloud was “Down Here”. It is a darker song, and is widely considered to be a favorite by fans. Davey recently revealed that the song was actually recorded immediately following the CexCells era.
December 2010
- “Cold War”
“Cold War” was a song given to radio station Live 105 exclusively by Davey. It is a shorter song, coming in at 2:32, and it’s abrupt ending led many to speculate that the song posted by Live 105 was actually just a clip. However, this was proven false when it was played live later on. The song features rather questionable lyrics, even leading some to speculate Davey is singing about a relationship he had with another man. Thus the song has always been considered comical, and even inspired a couple memes among fans.
January 2011
- “Say Red”
“Say Red” was one of two new songs premiered live at Popscene in January. It is considered to be a very fun song, and by many to be one of their best live songs. It has only been played live, no studio version has been released.
- “Everyone’s Friends”
The other new song premiered live at Popscene was “Everyone’s Friends”. The song boasts unique production that differs far from CexCells. It has only been played live, no studio version has been released.
July 2011
- Unknown Song (Demo)
After setting up his turntable.fm room, Jade played a new song which he mentioned was a demo. He never did state it’s name, but because it is a demo, it is likely that it will not appear on Bright Black Heaven. We managed to get a 1 minute recording of the song, but no full version was captured by anyone.
- Bliss
“Bliss” was the second song to be premiered on the band’s Soundcloud page. It is considered to be very haunting and was their slowest release since “Ill Lit Ships”. It is slowly becoming a fan favorite, as many are stating the quality of the song is much greater than others released thus far.
