Here’s a glimpse of what they had to say about each song in Part 3:
“Bon Voyeurs”- Davey: “It’s about sex in public and really losing yourself and ultimately not caring about what others think of you and what you’re doing.”
“The Witness”- Jade: “I wanted to do something really simple cause when you’re programming a lot of the times and you have so many tools at your disposal, you want to just add layers and layers and layers of stuff until you have so many layers you’ve kind of lost the plot. So I wanted to start really simple with this one which was the intro synth line.”
“Say Red”- Davey: “Some friends have told me it reminds them of a Dance Dance Revolution song, which I think is a great compliment.”
“Ill Lit Ships”- Davey: “Lyrically, it touches on very, very strong people who for some reason allow themselves to be completely consumed by others by way of a strange Herculean flaw or a small emptiness of the greater strength of their characters, and how sad that is when such a beautiful person willingly does allow themselves to be completely consumed by a darkness.”
