“Knife Fight” Acquired by IFC Films

Davey tweeted tonight that his “beard will soon appear in a theatre near you”. Davey and his beard were featured in the film “Knife Fight”, which has been acquired by IFC. Hopefully we’ll all finally get a chance to see it soon. “Knife Fight” premiered earlier this year at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. Check out the story here.

Not likely.

If it does premiere in theaters it won’t be in major movie theaters like AMC or Cinemark. It would be shown in more limited theaters and would probably not even have a huge national release. I say it would definitely premiere in LA and NYC, but those that aren’t in huge hubs in the US WILL NOT be seeing this movie until a DVD release.

Agreed. I just looked at the IFC website and all their films are indie/small films, so we probably won’t see it in wide release.

fotunately, IFC has a channel on most cable/satellite packages so there could possibly be a TV spot for it.
