Picture Me Broken’s Brooklyn Discusses Davey in Revolver Magazine Interview

Not sure how any of this is relevant to Blaqk Audio or AFI. I want news and this isn’t news.

She is awesome. I couldn’t agree more. Davey is a very influential man. His thoughts and beliefs are very positive and can inspire anyone. I respect Davey as a positive individual and A.F.I as well. Their lyrics have a great impact on anyone who listens to their music. and anyone who watches an interview of A.F.I or Davey will surely be impacted in an amazing way.

I wrote an essay this year on how AFI influenced me. Basically; the story of how they became my favorite band, me becoming straightedge/vegetarian, meeting best friends because of them, and being exposed to great writing and people due to them.

This is late, I’ve been incredibly busy, yet, I actually wanted to take the time to say that, AFI has changed my life, and so has Blaqk Audio. Especially Davey, who is always speaking out on positivity, but not so much to where he doesn’t angle it so that any of us who aren’t famous can’t find the message, any of us without the opportunities to express ourselves in such a way as he can still find a way to express and be truly happy with ourselves and what we aim for. Although all members of AFI and Blaqk Audio radiate a true love for what they do, Davey really is the embodiment of that expression because he creates the words we taste every time we touch a song, every time we sing along. That embodiment carries, and it creates an inexplicable amount of respect from the onlooker. Through it all, I cannot thank any of them enough for what they have built and sparked. It has been an amazing journey that they’ve created for me, and I found myself because of AFI. I always felt a little ashamed going from listening to the darkness and hardcore of AFI to wanting to listen to a little Depeche Mode, which has a somewhat electronic influence a good bit of the time. Yet, when Blaqk Audio came to be, I could finally sink into it and go wow, I have this too. It has been a very fruitful, wonderful journey that I cannot ever begin to forget. All the hardest times in my life have been invariably comforted by those malignant words.
