Davey discusses singles & Bright Black Heaven release

August 31st, 2010 | 2 Comments | Posted in news by drew

In an interview with LIVE 105, Davey discussed when the first single from Bright Black Heaven (as well as other singles) will be released, including the album itself.

The first single is due for release on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving (11/26).  It will also come on 12″ vinyl, and be the first official release since CexCells hit stores in 2007.  He adds that they plan to continue releasing singles until Bright Black Heaven drops in late spring/early summer.  This contrasts the once widely believed 2010 release date for the album.

You can listen to the full interview here.

“Bon Voyeurs” now being played on FM

August 28th, 2010 | 4 Comments | Posted in news by drew

Blaqk Audio’s latest song to hit the airwaves, “Bon Voyeurs”, appears to be getting a larger treatment than we previously thought.  The song stayed exclusively on Sirius Satellite Radio’s ‘BPM’ station, but now has appeared to of made the transition to FM.

New York’s WUSB 90.1 FM has added the song into it’s ‘Infinite Audio’ playlist. Although this is only a local campus station, it is interesting to note that Interscope is handing out more promo cds.  The amount of radio play “Bon Voyeurs” is getting may also infer it will become a single, as we should be hearing news of the first single soon.

If you have seen “Bon Voyeurs” appear on any of your local FM stations, please let us know.  If you would like to know more about the song (and listen to it), click here.

AFI performed at the annual Lollapalooza event in Chicago today, and in between songs, Davey said that AFI’s tour with Green Day will be their last tour for Crash Love. Currently, the last date for the Green Day tour is scheduled for September 2nd, less than a month from now.

As stated several times by both Davey and Jade, Blaqk Audio should begin as soon as AFI is done touring. The wait is only weeks from here, let the Blaqk Age begin.
