Davey and Jade Still Working on Music Video?

Davey replied to a tweet last night from Daniel Raschko, a visual effects artist, that said “that’s a wrap” and it mentioned Travis Kopach, who we know directed the new music video. Davey mentioned “dark shadows and dim mirrors.” We will keep you updated with any new information.

Travis Kopach Directed Music Video

Davey just tweeted “Thank you. @getraddielater For today’s visions. May they soon spread. Worldwide.” The twitter user is Travis Kopach, who directed AFI’s Beautiful Thieves video. Our video actress told us exclusively that the director of the new video previously directed an AFI video. Thus, it’s safe to say Mr. Kopach directed the video. We have contacted Travis for more info!

Davey and Jade Never Intended to Record Blaqk Audio

An article from 2004 with MTV appeared in our radar this morning that featured Davey and Jade discussing how Blaqk Audio was originally never going to happen. In the article, MTV writes:

When their tour wraps in March, AFI will not work on the Electronic music side project Puget talked about in the fall. The guitarist said he was just thinking out loud and that he and Havok never considered recording something outside of AFI.

Well, we are sure glad they decided to do something with it! Where would we be without the sultry sounds of BA? Actually, don’t answer that. I don’t want to think of that possibility.

Site Going Black Tomorrow to Protest SOPA

Tomorrow many large websites will be going dark for 24 hours to protest SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act. This bill, if passed, will affect media-based content on sites such as ours. Therefore, we have decided to partake in said protest.

If any news is found, it will be posted on our Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook. If you support free speech, spread the word to your friends, blog about it, and spread it around on your social media sites.

Thank you for your cooperation!

DISCUSSION: What Song is the Music Video For?

Some details have arisen through Davey’s tweets as well as our actress on set about the music video. So far we know that the video involves a car, shadows, darkness, and the song is “moody.”. So, discuss what song you think the video is for! Let’s hope your predictions are right and we get to see the video soon!

Music Video Officially Completed

Davey tweeted just now that he was sitting and watching himself sing in the backseat of a car. This means that he was just watching the music video! Obviously, that means that the video is finished and DxH is viewing the finished product.

Last week, Davey said he hopes it will be released before February 1st. So, if all goes well, we should be seeing it within the next two weeks!
